Consideration of Using a Pen Name for Erotic Novels
I've got some Erotica Romance manuscripts I want to see about getting published.
I've always authored under my real name, however, because one of my longer term goals is to write serious non-fiction/self help with my PhD in Psychology, I'm considering using a Pen Name for the erotic fiction and anything else having a controversial bent. Ya think?
Now, the fun part...coming up with a name. I'd like it to have some relevance to my current name, yet distinguishable from DOREEN LEWIS.
I'd like to hear any suggestions you have. Please post ideas. If I use the name you came up with or one close to its likeness, I'd be happy to acknowledge you in a book (if you like).
I think this is the right thing to do. While I'm authentic and not ashamed to be a romantic fiction writer, I do think that drawing the line somewhere will make it easier for readers to be directed to writings that are aligned to their interests since I'm writing in more than one genre. Plus, having written in the young adult genre, I have an obligation to my beloved youth readers to keep that aspect squeaky clean.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

How 'bout...
Lewis Salis
Salis means "wit" in Latin. So you are writing under the pen name meaning the reader is essentially enjoying the 'Lewis wit'.
