Update on the Life-changing BARE MINERALS Make-Up

To respond to Rag's request for an update on the Bare Minerals make-up experience, I am a changed woman. I am the poster child for it. Love it.

I wore far too much make-up in the past. WHAT was I thinking?

Here are a few face shots (from my shitty cell phone) showing the make-up and how I wear it.

My face is a tad blotchy (sunspots and freckles) normally and I have a bit of lineage. I used to wear heavy foundation to hide it all. That just makes a person look older, fake and it requires fixing through out the day. Because I have DRY skin, I was afraid that the bareminerals would be powdery, but it's silky and light--evens out tones but keeps a look as if there's no make-up on.

The starter kit comes with a DVD. I think the website shows the video for free, but it is inspiring to watch the make-overs.

My favorite products are SUMMER BISQUE (which is a minerals cover-up for spots). I have been using the foundation minerals, but think I'm just going to skip that and use just the tinted Mineral Veil instead. I've grown to like the non-makeup look a lot. Another great product comes in the starter kit--it's a base for eyeshadow, but I wear it alone. It's called, "well-rested". The eyeshadow (in the starter kit) called "vanilla ice" is great. The eyeliners work with a wet brush or just dry. One jar will last generations.

Since I know what I like, I order off of ebay (much cheaper). I have found the product line well priced at QVC.com too.

Those are great shots- so much better than the shot you use for your blog and website. - blu

Blu, how funny. You're right. I think I'm beginning to appreciate a more REAL appearance than anything made-up, hokey and posed. I put one of the REAL images up to replace the formal portrait in my profile here. Thanks for the comment. HOW is the Bareminerals working out for you now?
