My New Books (Currently Reading or Will Soon Read)

I loooooooooove books. All kinds of books. Last Christmas, my sister got me a tee shirt that reads, "Got Bibliophilia?" But I can't wear it out of the house. Why? People don't get it here. One time I wore it, the hillbillies in my town running grocery stores and gas stations all asked me, "Nnuck nnuck...ER, whad da heck do dat shirr mean?" I'd tell them, "Just never mind....and plastic bags for my groceries are just fine, thank you"

What has happened to the love of reading? My kids act like it's punishment. I think you either LOVE IT or HATE IT. But nothing in between....seems.

Anyway, here is a list of books I have in my bedroom for pleasure reading before bed:

A Complaint Free World: Take the 21 Day Challenge, Will Bowen
What Color is Your Parachute (for Retirement), Richard N. Bolles and John E. Nelson
Sacred Contracts, Caroline Myss
Socrates in Love: Philosophy for a Passionate Heart, Christopher Phillips
Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living at Your Full Potential, Joel Osteen
The Hite Report (Revised Ed.), Shere Hite
Getting to Yes: Negotiatign Agreement Without Giving In, Fisher, Ury & Roger
The Dance of Intimacy, Harriet Goldhor Lerner, PhD.

What are you reading right now?

Mavis, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE self-help! But I hear ya.... People keep telling me to "lighten up" and "relax". Uh, OK... but how? I don't know how to do that AT ALL

y the thing about self help is that its not its someone elses idea of your self. Just go with the flow and let things happen and you find lifes much easier ( until some bugger gives you two months notice on your rental house then you get to spak out for a while
