I am fat.

Time to get control. I've been on all the diets before (Atkins, Weight Watchers, Southbeach) and yea, each works and has its pros and cons. I need to commit to one and follow it. Not before I ponder it over lots of wine tonight, tho. It's been a grueling week.

OK... you guys are great. Tell me what's new and good in dieting. And what of B-12 shots? Tell me what to do and I'll do it.

Oh, and let's NOT talk about stairsteppers and jogging (or really any sort of sweaty exercise). I'll get black eyes.

There's no way you've got bigger feminine wiles than I do. Invest in a good sports bra and put your fat ass on an elyptical. Plus, there is less bounce on an elypitical than there is on a treadmill.

i used to love to go to the gym, but then i got pregnant and going to the gym caused me to bleed, so i had to stop. after i quit workingi n june i had no excuses to not use my treadmill and so i just started doing it. after a few days of pain, i started to remember why i loved the gym. i feel great after spending some down time with my ipod on and just going to town on a machine. recently, my treadmill suffered an accident and i bought an elliptical. i can spend two hours on the elliptical and it's like a blink for me and i don't hurt afterwards. however, someone used my elliptical this week who was over the weight limit and broke that too. since it was under a month old, the company agreed to take it back and send me a new one. i really miss my elliptical time right now though. so re-think getting sweaty, there's a nice sports bra out there for you really are fat, just dieting alone won't get you much.

love,
Jilly

I don't believe any of those diets work long term. I believe the only way is eating healthy- fruits, veggies, salads, seafood, yogurts, more fruit. I pretty much named my diet since I quit smoking. I don't count calories, I don't count fat. I don't eat meat or bread on a normal basis. I eat ice cream. donuts, and a bagel if I am in the mood or as a treat keeping it to one serving. I've lost 35 pounds since I quit smoking. I also have the occasional help of phentermine, the diet pill, if I feel myself getting out of control, I pop a pill and set my eating back on track BUT I don't know how much credit I want to give to that pill verses a total lifestyle change. -blu

I've also mostly given up red meat except during That Time Of The Month when I really crave it for some reason.
