I Absolutely Despise Leaf Blowers
This concept of leaf blowing is absurd. The noise pollution produced from the machine is extreme and so bothersome. Leaf blowers are everywhere! It ruins a meal at a restaurant... you can still hear the leaf blower indoors. There are few things that rile me as a much as leaf blowers. It maddens me to be near one.

i agree, but i use one. sometimes it is easier to get at the leaves trapped under bushes and evergreen trees. i use one to clean off my driveway. i use it to get the leaves out of my gutters. i guess you could say the same about lawn mowers or snowblowers. automation is noisy.
it seems surreal to me to think of someone blowing leaves in late Jan. We don't get enough snow in one year for me to justify a snow blower, but i do think of it every time we get the odd blizzard and have to shovel 2-3 feet out off our massive driveway. Every time i'm shoveling, i think "did we need three lanes and two hundred feet?" we own two lots and don't technically have one tree on either, but our neighbors have rees, so our yard ends up full of leaves. i love leaves and they're so good for the soil, that we just leave the leaves to rot all fall and winter to help the grass out in the spring. I also love weeds in my grass and dislike "perfect" lawns. I love to go out on a sunny day and pick dandilions with my daughter and run around on the cool grass. I can't imagine a yard without leaves or weeds.
i would alos like to add a though about all the pollution in general a leaf blower must add to the air, not just the horrible noise, but then again, the people who usually claim to care about such things really don't in real life (pollticians and famous people with a cause).
on a birghter note, we planted some bushes last year at the end of the season for this spring, and i'm excited for spring to hurry up and get here so we can enjoy the colors and smells.
I dispose of leaves by placing them individually into my salad shooter.
you wont be getting a leaf blower for your farm then ?
Alex
Alex, Reminds me.... Saw your Facebook wall post on fellatio. Just thinking... Why don't you blow the leaves off my farm in farmville? Heh.
Does FB have an application in Farmville wherein the putative farmer can run a still?
It wasn;t my mouth that was the wrong shape :P Im still laughing about that and its over 48 ago hours now
